A strong but pleasant ferry ride brings you to the shores of spectacle. The variety of graded hills, with two peaks being the north and south drumlins, support beautiful grasses, trees, and bushes that create pockets of lounging areas throughout. No agenda necessary here. Picnic, ponder at the skyline and other views on and off the island, and dunk in the crisp waters. Play however you’d like to. A world away yet so close to the hub. What was once an island of waste now exemplifies restoration and displays some of New England’s greatest gems of where land meets water. -KM
