audobon park NOLA - tree of life

approaching the park on the historic st charles street in the classic street cars, you are met with inviting green space. large trees line both sides of the looping path, one side water and the other lawns and play space. following past the zoo (and the added golf course which is a popular modern addition) brings you to the vast and strong mississippi river which flows in a way that quickly explains how it has carved this land. continuing on the path, the tree of life sits majestically alone. appropriately named, you can feel the times it has lived through and the energy it gives and takes. follow past and walk the labyrinth for a contemplative moment. stop at any moment to lounge and be. olmsted allows you to make what you need of it🌱 a moment to recognize those affected by the new years attack on bourbon street ❀️ when visiting, and leaving a day prior to the incident, I felt the energy of this city which was hopeful, strong, and hospitable. a lot of pain in this world, may we make efforts for peace and safety for all by opening our minds and eyes to all 🌎
