peters hill - arnold arboretum

i ride my bike up peter’s hill every once and a while. it’s not that far from my apartment- only about a 15mile round trip. i usually don’t feel like that’s enough for a real bike ride but when i ride the paths from the fens thru jamaica pond and out to the arboretum, i forget about that feeling. from peters hill i can see the city i was trying to escape and i know that the ride accomplished what i needed. like so many others who walk, run, and ride up the hill we all look for space to think, reflect, and release some endorphins. no matter how stuck i feel, peter’s hill is there. whether you race yourself up the slope or take it easy and enjoy the foliage there’s no wrong way to find your space.
