Mackworth Island State Park in Falmouth, Maine, is my “happy place.” A mile and a half long trail around the island, with all of the nooks and crannies the craggy Maine coastline promises. Two bench swings overlooking the ocean that you just can’t resist — you’ll feel like a kid again. Immediately grounded with gratitude as soon as I take the turn on to the bridge, roll down my windows to soak up the saline. My husband and I both (unknowingly) bought each other binoculars for Christmas, so that we can settle our seal vs. buoy debates. Living by the ocean is one of the greatest blessings of my, our life.
